Guidelines for submission of scientific abstracts for the EAAP Annual Meeting

To ensure your abstract is eligible for acceptance and evaluated positively, please follow these guidelines. Abstracts will be assessed on both scientific quality and compliance with submission rules.

1 – General Submission Requirements

  • Language: Abstracts must be written in English.
  • Content: Depending on the context of the paper, one might distinguish between experimental studies and non-experimental studies. Depending on the type, the abstract should include the following information:
    – Experimental studies: hypothesis, experimental methods, statistical analyses, a synthesis of results, discussion & conclusion related to the hypothesis.
    – Non-experimental topics: aim of the abstract (why present this at EAAP?), problem definition, summary of existing scientific knowledge, animal species or scientific discipline, stakeholders, …
Abstract evaluation will take that difference into account.
  • Number of Submissions: Each author may present a maximum of two abstracts. Do not submit more than two contributions per presenting author.
  • Length: The total amount of allowed characters is 4000, including the title and authors affiliations.
  • Presenting Author: Clearly indicate the presenting author. If the presenting author does not register in time, the contribution will be removed from the programme.
  • Session Selection: If you cannot find a suitable session, submit your abstract to the “free communications” category.
  • Presentation Format: Abstracts may be accepted as oral presentations or posters. The session and form of presentation may be changed by the EAAP Scientific Committee.
  • Communication: Messages regarding your submission will be sent by EAAP. Please add noreply@eaap.org to your safe sender list to avoid missing important updates.
  • Support: For questions or support, please contact the conference organizers.
